Murdoch Veterinary Student Association
EVENTS
The MVSA is notorious for hosting a series of fun and energetic events throughout the year. These events provide students with a platform where they can socialise withother year groups and gain a greater footing within the veterinary student body. Admission prices to these events is significantly reduced with the purchase of a membership at the beginning of the year. However, most importantly these events can help students wind down from the stress of studies in a safe and friendly atmosphere. So when you are free take a look at our Facebook page to find out when the next event is occuring and all of the necessary details. Ticket purchases can be done via cash or eftpos from the MVSA office during opening hours.

One of our more common events that occurs during the semester. TGFF (or 'Thank God for Friday') is an end of week celebration for students to wind down and relax before the weekend. Food and drinks are provided on the night.

This year we held the annual Vet Camp at the lovely Camp Leschnaultia. We had two themed nights were students got to have fun and enjoy their weekend away.

Run by our second year reps, this event is a classy occasion for students to have some light snacks and drinks while enjoying the ambiance of an upscale social environment

The classiest occasion of the year for all students. Winter Dinner promises to be a glamourous event and in 2015 we held it in the wonderful Crowne Casino.

Held after the Rural Practice Weekend, this is a little bit of an urban twist on a classic Western dance. Students have some fun and dress up in their best cattle rustling gear

The MVSA is a proud supporter of our 13 SIG groups and actively encourage students to attend the events of those SIGs (or 'Special Interest Groups') that interest them the most.

A film screening event not to be missed. Every year the MVSA hosts an annual 'Vet Revue' in which students from each year group can submit funny videos for the viewing pleasure of the student body. Each year the videos provide a wonderful sense of comic relief and are directly relatable to students as a whole. Associated with the event is a TGFF.

This a fantastic event that allows vet students to parade through the city in their scrubs or overalls and have fun at various undisclosed locations. Drinks are included in the cost and dancing is always free!

As of 2015 Murdoch Vet Students have begun challenging various other degree schools within the university to a series of sporting challenges. This ranges from Mud Volleyball to Soccer and is a great way for us to socialise with the rest of the university.
